The Archives (2005)

11 | 21 | 05 - OK... it's been longer than a month. Many apologies, but c'mon! Soul Calibur 3! Anywho, to show that I still love you all, I actually have something new for this update. Venture on over to The Library and check out the first part of Unrequited, a new story from the Realmwalkers timeline. Sure, in a setting like Realmwalkers, we focus on the fact that we've got some severely powerful individuals running around the world; it's easy to lose track over the fact that these are actual people thrust into some really strange circumstances. Unrequited is going to focus more on the mindset of Darren, Natalie's good friend and adventuring partner, as he sorts out his own feelings on his new home, and, er, Natalie. Also, for S&G's, I've compiled The Top Ten Benefits to Moving Club Ninja to a New Server. Enjoy!

10 | 14 | 05 - Great... as soon as I take down The Gallery, I actually have a new pic to show. It's another Photoshop experiment showing off a generic young lady from Glenshire Abbey, a student of the magical arts. And yes, she's going in the book!

09 | 23 | 05 - Anime Weekend Atlanta!

09 | 16 | 05 -
Ninja Update! The Firebrand Files return with an interview with none other than Ms. Sumire Winters of ULTRA. Read, and be enlightened!

Also, AWA's in one week! Fear, mortals, FEAR! =)

08 | 26 | 05 - What's new? Nothing just yet, but I can promise you that something will be up here REALLY soon. What's that, you ask? I can't give away the details just yet, but let's just say that Natalie's got her next interview for The Firebrand Files. Stay tuned!

07 | 15 | 05 -
Don't complain- technically, this update falls within a month of the last one, so I'm doing better! While sorting through some of the random papers in my room, I came across a list that I wrote up some time ago for the site, but just lost track of. Watching all of the freshmen on campus at the start of Fall semester last year sort of inspired me, so we have a few suggestions in The Library as far as what they can expect. Who says we don't do a public service here at Club Ninja?

06 | 19 | 05 -
Hey, it's been busy! Have mercy! If nothing else, though, now we've got a cable modem, which means that I'll be exploiting that mamma-jamma like no man's business. Will this mean more frequent updates since I don't have to wait for dialup? Man, I hope so...

05 | 14 | 05 - So, what's new around this joint? Well, it's subtle, but there's been a bit of streamlining going on here and there. Little tweaks to make things go faster, that sort of thing. Of course it's not really noticeable unless you're on dial-up, but details... nonetheless, you'll notice that the page headings are a bit more universal now, and that The Library has a bit more order to it. Also, and just because I love you all, here's a sketch of Eric Dulcimer doing his bard thing in Glenshire Abbey. This will more than likely end up in the book, so consider this a sneak preview to that.

04 | 21 | 05 -
As soon as Art History stops kicking my ass, I'm sure I'll be able to do something around this place. First thing's first, though, and that's getting the headings to all look the same. Let the work begin!

04 | 08 | 05 - Ninja Update! We done revamped the main page! It's amazing what you can do when you've got some free time. We'll be working on getting the rest of the site in line with this look as well.

03 | 27 | 05 - School's been kicking my butt like a redheaded stepchild that stole something these past few weeks, so there's not much of an update this week. However, there ARE things going on in this camp that I'll be touching on in the near future. We'll keep you posted!

03 | 08 | 05 - Found some stuff from the ashes that you all might be interested in. Well, maybe not, but I'm putting it up here anyway. Sorting through a few files, I noticed that I actually have Me At A Glance archives stretching back to as far as 2002, so those have been added down below. I also noticed that the archives with my very first update of the year were misfiled, so that's back where it belongs.

02 | 21 | 05 - Well now, looks like I've actually got something new for you all! I decided to write this up on a whim a few days ago- the next thing I knew, several hours had passed, and I still wasn't finished. Nonetheless, I've been contemplating another story, discussing some of the dark undercurrents that exist within fandom. It's difficult to explain, but anyone that's spent their fair share of time at conventions and hanging with the people there quickly learn that there can be some strange and disturbing crap going on. Thinking this through, I actually remembered an incident that I had witnessed some years ago, and felt that I should try and articulate. If you're up to it, take a journey into The Dark Side of Fandom. It's a little more serious than my normal faire, as I'm trying to make sense of some pretty messed-up circumstances. Feedback would definitely be appreciated from you all on this one.

02 | 11 | 05 - I really did have more planned for this update, but as you can see, the majority of my free time went into preparing that commentary about my descent into madness earlier this week. I wanted to get the next chapter of The Riddle of Dark completed, because as some of you may not be aware, but Realmwalkers shares the same birthday as me. There's still much going on with class to boot, so I can only hope to do something for my fans (yes, both of you)!

Wait a sec, we DO have something new! I just remembered that I did some touching up in About Me a few days ago in an undocumented update. Actually, it had been tweaked a bit after New Year's, but not as much as this recent touch-up. Enjoy!

02 | 03 | 05 - Wow, I didn't realize that I was going to be so introspective this week... anywho, we actually do have something new! Here's a prototype of the actual map of the world of Illordia, as seen in Glenshire Abbey! I had some problems saving it as a .jpg, so here's a heavily pixilated version in .gif just to give you a general idea of things. I've got a paper and another project due soon, so that puts a slight damper on getting much of anything else done this week, alas. But I'm getting SO close to completing the book...

01 | 25 | 05 - Working hard! To say that I've merely been 'busy' would be doing me a grave disservice. I'm working hard on getting the layout work done for the book as soon as humanly possible... man, I'm not going to be sleeping much for these next few days...

01 | 13 | 05 - What's new, what's new? Well, thanks to the start of the new semester, I haven't had time to finish the next part of The Riddle of Dark yet... however, since I actually do have a bit of free time between classes, I might be able to get some more work done on it this week. However, within The Library you'll actually find What 2004 Has Taught Me, which is what was posted up here last time. Just in case you hadn't noticed, by the way, links are not only set up for my update archives, but to the Me At A Glance archives for the last year as well. People have actually been asking me to post that up for a while, so I'm glad that it's finally up and running. And finally, in some random news, I've started doing the layout for the actual book of Glenshire Abbey, which has been an experience in and of itself. My projected Get-Everything-The-Hell-Done date is the end of January, and I'm doing everything I can to make that a reality!

By the way, the new logo really isn't all that new... I actually did that sucker some time last year, but thought I'd throw something different up there for now. Maybe I can do a new logo a month? This should be fun!

01 | 07 | 05 - Happy New Year, everyone! Here's to hoping for a productive and positive 2005!
