Name: Angela Kisaragi

Will Be From: Kagemusha: The Shadow Warriors

Role: Cheerleader/Demon Hunter

How would I describe the world of Kagemusha? Think Sailor Moon, but not nearly as girly.

Here's the story in a nutshell. A clan of demon hunters from Japan known as the Kagemusha find themselves decimated by a powerful enemy; those that survive the attack spread throughout the world in order to rebuild the clan's ranks, and to throw off the trail of this powerful enemy. It is at this point where we meet the Tanaka brothers, Kenji, Hiro, and Jubei; our intrepid band of heroes end up in the United States and attending Shadow Hills High School, attempting to find a balance between school work and demon hunting. It is here that they meet Angela Kisaragi, a seemingly normal cheerleader that ends up getting recruited into their ranks.

See, not everyone in the world can be a demon hunter; it takes more than a sword and an attitude to be a Kagemusha, as Kenji, the eldest of the Tanaka brothers, puts it at one point. Angela, however, possesses extraordinary reflexes; whereas a normal person would get the ever-loving crap smacked out of them if they went toe-to-toe with a demon, with the proper training, Angela could easily hold her own against one. Kenji sees her potential, and soon after an incident at the school, Angela is recruited into their ranks. There are a couple of romantic sparks that fly between the two, which, like good brothers, Hiro and Jubei never cease teasing Kenji about.

Angela is sweet, funny, and swings a pretty mean sword to boot. What's there not to like about her? :)

Kagemusha: The Movie: Well, not really, but I figured if such a thing did happen, I'd like to get Jennifer Love Hewitt to play Ms. Kisaragi.

Random Sidenote: Kagemusha takes place within the little microcosm that I call The World of Junior Force, which means that it shares some continuity, and even a couple of characters from Legacy and Exodus. This will all come into play at one point.

Random, Random Sidenote: If I ever were to run an RPG with my current group, there's a pretty good chance that it would be based on the whole Kagemusha mythos. I see a lot of potential for this setting.

The Future: Angela's a very cool character, so I'd love to do some more with her. My main problem with the story so far has been getting started, so I figure that if I can work an introduction, then the rest should follow, I hope. Nonetheless, Angela is a lot of fun to draw; I really dig her design, so I anticipate she'll be around for a while.
