Lily Albrook, Serving Girl at Malstron Castle.

For someone that's pretty danged important in my works, she came from a very humble beginning. I had no idea what she would become in time, but I'm quite pleased with the wonderful young lady she has matured into.

As mentioned, Lily was a serving girl at Malstron Castle around the time that the Travelers were beginning to assemble. It was here that she met a young man that would have a profound effect on her young life, that of a young Shadow Ninja by the name of Mani. Like a number of things of this nature, their friendship soon developed into something more, and the two fell deeply in love.

It's at this point where things start to get complicated for Ms. Albrook. 

There's two different continuities you can look at, but both have her life being not quite normal. A lot of it stems from a particular minion of the Demonlord Paradox, a nasty little beyotch by the name of Phantom.

NuRPG: After her boyfriend Mani is yanked right out of a battle with Lord Paradox (and mounting a rescue on the kidnapped Lily), he finds himself in the world of Nu, trying to make his way in his new surroundings. Unbeknownst to him, he was followed by Lily. Unbeknownst to her, however, she was followed by Phantom, one of Mani's growing list of sworn enemies. A kidnapping is orchestrated by Phantom, who hires The Assassins' Guild of Brightsand to snag Ms. Lily while she lures Mani to the city herself.

Lily, however, has a little secret.

It seems that while she was captured at Paradox's stronghold, Phantom experimented with a little ritualistic summoning, using Lily as the medium, blood-bonding the young woman to a lesser demon in the process. Alhazalria, the demon, slowly matures and eventually begins to cause havoc throughout Brightsand. Mani steps in to deal with the menace, but is shocked when Phantom not only returns, but kills the creature that she created, taking Lily/Alhazalria's souls and becoming much, much more powerful. At that point the nastiest fight ever breaks out between Phantom and Mani, stretching over several rooftops before the ninja defeats her. His victory, is hollow, for in the process he has lost the person that means more to him than anyone in the world.

Second Realm/Realmwalkers: I consider this to be the official continuity, and in it she's only been mentioned briefly as of late. However it HAS been established that she and Mani are no longer together, stemming mainly from her father's intense dislike for the young man. It should also be noted that at the end of Natalie 7, Mani, Neil, and Narek were heading to Ardonis to throw off the Dark Dance pursuit party; Lily also happens to be living in Ardonis at the moment, and the two were slated to meet again. Whether or not these two star-crossed lovers get back together remains to be seen.

Sidenote: There are four Albrook sisters; from youngest to oldest, they are Violet, Rose, Lily, and Lotus. Originally there were to be five, but I decided to use the name Orchid for their mother instead. I'm sure that you all see the pattern. :)

The Future: Lily, Lily, Lily... you know that you can't keep a good love interest down. In Nu continuity she's still quite deceased (and will remain so), but that's not going to stop her elsewhere. There's still plenty of life in this girl, so don't be surprised if you see her again soon.
