Mani's Remarks: "Alexa Mizuno, AKA 'Moonrunner'. One of the most feared assassins in all the world. You will never see her this mellow again. =) She also has the distinction of being one of my oldest characters- well, not physically, but Alexa's been around since I was in about maybe 9th grade or so. Sure, she doesn't beat Lazer Man, but she's certainly been around a bit. Most of her history has been detailed in her Character of the Month profile. I'm not used to seeing her this happy, so I suddenly feel the urge to show her in all of her bloody and violent glory. Either that, or next time I'll just draw her holding a puppy." Random Sidenote: "OK, confession time- I had a little bit of help getting her position down for this. Not only that, but it came from a pretty unlikely source. Before I settled in on this pose, I went through all kinds of sketches trying to figure out a good one for her. Early ones actually had her sporting an umbrella much like Setsuka's from Soul Calibur III, and I probably would have stuck with it if a friend of mine (who shall remain nameless) was showing me some hentai on a disk of his. There was a piece that caught my eye, and I used her position as a basis for my next sketch of Ms. Mizuno. I liked it, and it stuck. I'm sure some of you probably picked up on the slight-hentai influence based on the odd angle Alexa's standing at. Why does hentai favor that odd sort of sideways angle? I just don't know... And I'm not a hentai fiend! I told you, a friend was showing me some pictures! =) "
