Mani's Remarks: "This was actually sitting in my Massive Pile of Sketches (TM) for a good while, and I'm glad that I finally got a chance to get this sucker scanned and Photoshopped. While not the first piece I've completed since having the Stylus, it is the first one with a character close-up. I knew from the get-go that I was going to have fun with the fire, and that part of the creation didn't disappoint =) Originally, the background was to be a straight black- as striking as the contrast would have been, I decided to try and experiment with it a bit to see what I could come up with. I like the way the little motes of magical energy turned out, and I'm sure that I'll be using that same technique quite often. All in all, I'm pleased with this one. As for the model, she is indeed from Glenshire Abbey, but she's not any character in particular. I introduced a spell called 'Elemental Dance' in one of the games, and felt compelled to try and illustrate the fire version of it in action. This also marks the first time that I've drawn the slightly-revamped version of the female school uniform, with the logo and all." Random Sidenote: "Even though the school colors of Glenshire Abbey are blue and gold, I almost made her outfit red to match more with the flames. Sure, it wasn't the school colors, but I'm not going to lie- that sucker looked COOL. I might post up an alternate version of this one in the future."
