"LuAnne Dimas"
Mani's Remarks: "Hey! My first blonde! I told you that all of my characters aren't dark-haired! While she's not the oldest character on Club Ninja, LuAnne Dimas IS the oldest character featured in The Ladies of Club Ninja, beating out Alexa for the title. Her inception came about in about 7th grade as I was fleshing out the world of Second Realm back in the day. While I will whole-heartedly admit that her original concept was little more than Large-Breasted-Blonde-Love-Interest (TM), her history has been expanded significantly since then. LuAnne hails from Kito, a small village just east of imperial capitol of Malstron in Orcana, the largest nation of Second Realm. Showing a talent for mage craft at an early age, she is enrolled in one of the most prestigious academies in Malstron in order to hone her skills. Despite her young age of 17, she is a candidate for potential entry into SABER, the kingdom's elite order of operatives and trouble-shooters, much to the dismay of some of her older peers. Surprisingly she didn't have much of a role in The Traveler Chronicles, but she popped up constantly during the early days of Second Realm and its conceptualization. I really don't have a good story as to why she's got that lone braid up front (fashion statement?), but it's been a design detail that's been present since day one. I would think it criminal not to include it now." Random Sidenote: "LuAnne's presence here on Club Ninja came about very much by accident, as I had another concept in mind for the next picture. It would have been another of the ladies of Glenshire Abbey, which kind of amuses me for the fact that it seems that there's an unofficial competion (at least in my mind) between Glenshire and Second Realm to see who can get the most ladies up here. As it stands now, the count is 3-2 in Second Realm's favor. Anywho, I was having a lot of trouble getting my sketch work to look right for what I had in mind (something along the lines of a belly-dancing Elf), and decided to draw LuAnne and her good friend Karin on a whim to change the pace a bit. Well, long story short is that I really liked the way it turned out, and it came very close to being my first duo piece in Ladies. I decided against it though, figuring I'll save Karin for a later day. Besides, I've got to give the ladies of Glenshire Abbey time to catch up =) "
